Leadership Gage is a ten session program presented by the Gage Development Coalition that seeks to identify, educate, and develop citizens of the Gage County area for positions of community leadership.
Class participants will be exposed to new
ways of thinking, develop ideas, and increase their knowledge of their community.
Generally, the ten sessions are held on the third Wednesday of the month, August through May. Each session focuses on a different aspect of the community, allowing participants the
opportunity to learn about the community. In October the group attends an overnight Retreat at the Rice Lodge & Conference Center in Odell, with the objective to launch their class project.
The classes are conducted at different businesses across Beatrice and are planned by the Leadership Gage Advisory committee.
Each year the class participants complete the Strengths Finder profile and receive extensive training about this program, with books donated by Exmark Manufacturing, Inc.
The class collaborates to choose a project that benefits their community and combine their resources to bring that project to fruition.
Class size is limited to 14. Applications open in May and are due by July 8, 2026. Once reviewed, those accepted will be notified by August 1, 2026. Tuition is due upon acceptance.
